Chelsea fans and Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager, received an injury blow ahead of their match against West Bromich Albion with the absence of their forward for five games.
According to Standard Evening, Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager, has officially confirmed that their forward, Michy Batchuayi, will miss five games due to an injury.
Michy Batshuayi picked up a knee injury with his national team, Belgium, and left his national team training and came back to London. Batshuayi is believed to miss two weeks due to an injury, which includes four Premier League matches against West Bromich Albion, Liverpool, Swansea City, and Newcastle United.
On the other hand, he will miss the match against Qarabag FK in the Champions League, and playing against Atletico Madrid on the fifth of December in the crucial and decisive Champions League match, is doubtful until now.
Antonio Conte will have to rely on Alvaro Morata as the main striker for Chelsea meanwhile, and Eden Hazard can play sometimes as a striker sometimes.
