Chelsea Match Report And Players Ratings And Man Of The Match Against Atletico Madrid

Chelsea has drawn vs Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League final group stages match where Chelsea lost the first place in their group to the Serie A side, A.S. Roma after Chelsea ended the match with a 1-1 result against Atletico Madrid.

Thibaut Courtois: Average match, can’t be really blamed for the goal though. 6/10

Andreas Christensen:  Good defensive match and was helping in the attack and was so close to scoring. 7/10

Cesar Azpilicueta: Good match as well, tried to score with some headers as well. 7/10

Gary Cahil: Average. 6/10

Cesc Fabregas: Had some good long balls as well. Created some chances but he wasn’t quick, in such matches, Chelsea needs fast players. 6/10

N’Golo Kante:  Was fighting for every ball, good as usual. 7/10

Davide Zappacosta: Had a balanced game where he was contributing to the attack and defense. A better performance than the last match. Booked. 7/10

Tiemoue Bakayoko: He has to work harder to prove himself. His bad marking to Saul led to Chelsea conceding a goal. 5/10

Victor Moses: Was helping in the attack as well. Another good performance. 7/10

Eden Hazard: Dangerous as usual, but was marked by Atletico Madrid’s players which limited his movements, but when he found some space in the 49th minute, he was going to score. 7/10

Alvaro Morata:  Had several attempts on target, but wasn’t lucky enough to score. 8/10

Pedro: Was always going forward and trying to score. 5/10
Willian: Was dangerous and added more energy to the attack. However, Missed an empty net to score the winning goal. 4/10
Batshuayi: Tried to help in scoring. Was so close to scoring. N/A

Man of the match: Eden Hazard again, was always dangerous and trying to break into Atletico Madrid’s defense and scored one goal for Chelsea.

Antonio Conte (manager): He wanted to secure the first place in the group with the least effort due to the upcoming busy schedule in December, but that cost him the first place in the group stage. 5/10
