Chelsea Match Report And Players Ratings And Man Of The Match Against Qarabag FK

It wasn’t an easy match for Chelsea, but an early red for Qarabag FK player and two penalties helped Chelsea win 3-0. Chelsea wanted the three points and rested some players later for Liverpool’s clash which explains the reason why Chelsea players weren’t trying a lot, and it’s justified.

 

 

 

We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:

Thibaut Courtois:  Nothing much to do, another clean sheet as well. 7/10

David Luiz: Was good in the defense, and helped in the offense as well by some headers. 7/10

Antonio Rudiger: Average match, didn’t have a lot to do with Qarabag defending all the time. Had a dangerous pass to Morata in the 69th minute. 7/10

Cesar Azpilicueta: Good performance and interceptions. He saved Chelsea from Zappacosta’s mistake as well. 7/10

Marcos Alonso: Was helping the defense and offense. But booked in the 54th minute. 6/10

Davide Zappacosta: Was shaky at a moment where he didn’t clear the ball and Qarabag’s player was going to score. Had some misplaced passes as well. Not his best match. 6/10

Cesc Fabregas: A good match, had a couple of long shots. and was behind Chelsea’s second goal with a world-class pass, and scored a goal as well. 7/10

N’Golo Kante: Stopped most of Qarabag’s attacks and counter-attacks. After Qarabag’s red card, he didn’t have much to do. A calm match. 7/10

Eden Hazard: One goal by a penalty and an assist. He seemed a bit tired, but was always trying and dangerous, 8/10

Willian: Was one of the best players. He seems trying to prove himself to Conte and before the January transfer windows. Was behind Qarabg’s red card, and gifted Chelsea two penalties and scored two goals. 9/10

Pedro: Was behind Chelsea’s second goal as well, and was so close to scoring in the 42nd minute. However, missed one to one chance to make it 3-0 in the 52nd minute.  7/10

 

Subs

Drinkwater:  Replaced Kante in the 75th minute, gave some balance for the midfield. 6/10
Cahil: Was brought in to defend and secure the win. Did his job. 6/10
Morata: Tried to help scoring goals with the least effort. Not his best match for sure. 6/10

Man of the match: No doubt, Willian. He was behind all Chelsea’s goals by scoring two goals and giving two penalties. It was a clear message for Antonio Conte that he deserves a starting place and shouldn’t be sold in January.

Antonio Conte (manager): Wanted the three points and he got them with the least effort. Great win today and managed to rest the most important players and let the other players rest while on the pitch to prepare for Liverpool’s match. 8/10
