Chelsea are reported to be on the edge of completing a defender deal with the Bundesliga club, FC Schalke 04, before the winter transfer windows closes in six days.
The latest news and reports from different sources such as the sports site 90min, Chelsea seem to be agreed on terms with the German club for a Ghanian defender who is expected to complete his move and undergo the medical exam ahead of signing in the upcoming few hours or days in order to secure a move before the transfer windows closes at the end of January.
Chelsea’s defender Baba Rahman, was on loan with FC Schalke 04 last season before he gets injured and struggles to get back to his top form where Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s manager confessed that it’s hard for him to get back on his top level directly after the bad injury Baba Rahman suffered from.
However, it seems the 23 years old Ghanian player is ready to fight back and play on a second loan with FC Schalke 04 until the end of this season 2017/2018, and he will be hoping to have a place in Chelsea’s squad by next season if he proves himself this season during his loan spell.
Knowing that Baba Rahman plays as a left back and he made 19 appearances during his previous loan spell in Germany with FC Schalke 04.
