PLAYERS RATINGS: Chelsea 0-1 Man City And Man Of The Match.

Another loss for Chelsea against a Manchester club within seven days and this time is against Manchester City where Chelsea got defeated in the first seconds of the second half through one goal only, and the Blues Chelsea didn’t try to score and push forward and kept on over defending without any offensive reinforcements from the bench.

The reinforcements came very late such as Alvaro Morata’s substitute on the 87th minute which is too late for Alvaro Morata to be able to equalize and score against Manchester City in such a big match. It was a very disappointing performance where Chelsea didn’t even have any shot on target during the 90 minutes.

This loss makes Chelsea outside of the Champions League top four area for now, and Chelsea is threatened to be playing in the Europa League next season.

We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:

Drinkwater: Not good enough for such matches. 5/10

Fabregas: Wasn’t fighting enough today. 5/10

Willian: Had to stay instead of Pedro. 6/10

Subs

Giroud: Didn’t really do much. 5/10

Palmieri: Not much to do. 5/10

Morata: Not much time to impress. N/A

Man of the match: None of Chelsea’s players. Maybe Azpilicueta deserves a mention.

Antonio Conte (manager): An over defensive match that seemed to be in Chelsea’s favor until the first seconds of the second half. No reaction after conceding the goal and Chelsea kept on defending and no good substitutes where Conte kept Pedro on the pitch and subbed off Willian. In addition to the late substitutes.
