A very important win for Chelsea FC today against the Walish side, Swansea City, away from home, at the Liberty Stadium, where Chelsea won by an early goal scored by the Spaniard, Cesc Fabregas, on the 6th minute from an assist from the Belgian forward, Eden Hazard.
Chelsea couldn’t score more than that goal during the 90 minutes, where Chelsea dominated the match in terms of possession, but that didn’t help the Blues to advance against Swansea City who were more dangerous at some points, but their poor finish didn’t help them equalize or even get the three points.
We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:
Courtois: Wasn’t really tested due to the poor finish from Swansea City’s site, a calm match. 7/10
Azpilicueta: A good match, was solid at the back. 7/10
Rudiger: Average. 7/10
Cahill: Was okay, an average match as well. But next season he shouldn’t be starting if Chelsea wants to compete in the league again. Was going to give Swansea City a penalty. 6/10
Emerson: One of the best players on the pitch today, was contributing to the attack and seemed comfortable in the team. 7/10
Moses: Poor crosses, that’s not the Moses of last season at all. 6/10
Kante: Solid and consistent, as usual. 7/10
Fabregas: One very important goal, but didn’t do much other than the goal. 6/10
Bakayoko: Did he play? we didn’t see him doing anything on the pitch, except completing the squad to be 11 players. 5/10
Giroud: An average match, we didn’t see him doing a lot. 6/10
Hazard: Chelsea’s best player on the pitch today, was creating and passing to everyone, was on the edge of scoring on the 69th minute. 8/10
Pedro: No time to impress. 5/10
Willian: No time to impress as well, needed more time. 5/10
Morata: No time to score, barely had a few minutes. 5/10
Man of the match: Most of the players were so average today. However, Eden Hazard was the best and made an assist for Fabregas goal.
Antonio Conte (manager): Not the best match and very late substitutions were all of them were in the last 10 minutes. Subbing off Eden Hazard, Chelsea’s best and most dangerous player today, was a weird decision instead of subbing Bakayoko and Fabregas who wasn’t performing well. 7/10
