PLAYERS RATINGS: Chelsea 2-1 Crystal Palace And Man Of The Match.

A great win for the Blues Chelsea FC with the least effort, especially in the second half, in preparation for the most important match of this season so far against FC Barcelona in the Champions League knock out stage, group of 16, next Wednesday away from home, in the Camp Nou.

Chelsea dominated the first half where Chelsea players had several chances to score, especially Oliver Giroud, who missed several chances such as in the 45th minute, and 67th minute. The Brazilian forward, Willian, scored the first goal for Chelsea before the Italian defender, Davide Zappacosta’s shot deflects and makes it 2-0 for Chelsea. However, Chelsea conceded a late goal which threatened the three points.

We will rate our players after every match, here are Chelsea Insider players ratings:

Fabregas: Was so average today, lacked the magical touch and pass. 5/10

Giroud:  Missed several chances, such as on the 67th and 45th minutes. Still didn’t have his first Premier League goal with Chelsea. However, had a good match with his movements without the ball which helped his team. 7/10

Willian: He keeps on scoring. Had to get subbed off to rest for Barcelona’s match, alongside with Hazard. 8/10

Subs

Morata: Not sure what happened to Alvaro Morata, his form and sharpness declined drastically. Booked, again… 5/10

Pedro: No time to impress. N/A

Bakayoko: No time to impress as well. N/A

Man of the match: Eden Hazard was Chelsea’s most dangerous player, he was running the show for the Blues. Willian was one of the best players as well.

Antonio Conte (manager): A good win with the least effort, but had to rest Willian and Hazard instead of subbing Giroud off, they need to rest for Barcelona’s match and they played more than Giroud in the previous matches. However, the declined form of the players in the second half is something dangerous, which could cost the team points in other matches. 6/10
