PLAYERS RATINGS: Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle United

A very important win for the Blues, Chelsea FC, today in the Premier League Matchday three where Mauricio Sarri’s men were able to win in a very tough match against Newcastle United and their steel defense where the two goals came one from a penalty, and another an own goal after Marcos Alonso’s shot got deflected.

Kepa: Still the Spanish goalkeeper didn’t get tested a lot, but was good today. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Wasn’t contributing in the defense as much as Marcos Alonso. 6/10

Rudiger: A good match, was solid in the defense and was close to scoring from a long-range shot. 7/10

Luiz: The worst defender today, didn’t even try to do anything regarding the first goal. 5/10

Alonso: An amazing match as well, gave a penalty and his shot gave Chelsea the winning goal. 8/10

Kovacic: He has the fighting spirit Chelsea needs in the midfield. 7/10

Kante: Another good match as well. 7/10

Jorginho: Was alright today, did his job defensively. 7/10

Hazard: Maybe the best player today, an amazing performance and scored a crucial penalty. 8/10

Morata: Was very disappointing today. 5/10

Pedro: Had a good game, but his shots weren’t accurate. 6/10

Oliver Giroud: Didn’t do much. 5/10

Ross Barkley: Average. 5/10

Marucio Sarri (manager): He has to improve the players positioning and the Rudiger Luiz partnership isn’t working a lot. The Brazilian midfielder isn’t doing his job properly. 6/10

Man of the match: Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso both deserve it. Both were amazing but Eden Hazard was always dangerous.
