PLAYERS RATINGS: Chelsea 2-2 Burnley

Another disappointing match for Chelsea after losing two valuable points in the Champions League qualification journey after Burnley’s amazing defensive performance, such as the Italian teams.

Chelsea conceded at the beginning, where they were able to equalize and lead the scoreline by N’Golo Kante, who left injured before the second half, and Gonzalo Higuain, who left frustrated and his reaction will be in the English press for a while.

Chelsea couldn’t convince today, in the attack and defense were they suffered to score and struggled in the defense as well. Moreover, Maurizio Sarri was kicked by the referee at the end of the match.

Kepa: Conceded twice. 5.5/10

Azpalicueta: A good assist and good positioning 7/10

Luiz: Had an okay game. 6.5/10

Christensen: Was able to cover better in the first goal. 5/10

Palmieri: Better than Alonso, but still not so great today. 6.5/10

Jorginho: Was behind the second goal with a pre-assist, but was at fault for Burnley’s second goal where he wasn’t marking and left the defender in his back. 6/10

Loftus Cheek: Was close to scoring on the 20th minute. It seems he got injured at the end of the first half but he was okay. 6.5/10

Kante: A tactical and good goal, but too bad he left injured at half time. 7/10

Hudson-Odoi: Was okay, but left injured as well. 5/10

Higuain: Scored an important goal, but his reaction after getting subbed isn’t justified. 7.5/10

Hazard: As usual, the best on the pitch. Gave a brilliant assist for Chelsea’s first goal. 7.5/10

 

Subs

Kovacic: Replaced the injured Kante, but still not convincing even though he had a better performance today than the previous matches. 5/10

Pedro: Average. 5/10

Giroud: Couldn’t do much. 5/10

Marucio Sarri (manager): Still with the shaky results. Not sure he will continue in the upcoming season. He was kicked by the referee, but not sure if he will be kicked by Abrahamovic by the end of the season. 5/10

Man of the match: None of Chelsea players really deserves it.
